The Espresso Roast begins with Fair-Trade Certified Organic Arabica beans grown in the highlands of Sumatra. All of the Healthy bean coffees are shade grown, offering a low acidity and a smooth finish even in espresso machines. The Espresso Roast, while indeed intended for espresso machines, brews wonderfully as a drip coffee. This medium roast has a natural, earthy sweetness and a medium-bodied finish.
